I'm overly excited for my visit back to the states. I'm sure after a few weeks I'll be in a hurry to get back to Taiwan, but for now, I'm growing a little impatient.:)
It's bittersweet. The sad thing is that there's a good chance I may never see any of my children again. I can only hope and pray that they have wonderful lives waiting for them. In about a week the classes change, so most of my current students will move. So basically, it's like I'm saying goodbye then, even though I'll see them around the school for another month. It's going to be very hard not to cry when I say goodbye to my youngest but I'll try my best to avoid it.
I've been very emotional lately...I went to see Toy Story 3 the other day and started tearing up at the end!!
Random funny moment in class:
Naughty junior high class, last Friday. One of my most challenging students interrupted my class to say:
"Teacher. In Taiwan a bad man will wear a long black coat. He will open his black coat and show you his penis. You should yell at him and say 'It's so small!' And he will get mad and run away!"
Me: "That's not appropriate to talk about in class."
Student: "But teacher. I'm just trying to teach you how to protect yourself."
Never a dull moment. :)
